Are Facebook, Twitter & Co already considered old hat?

By Rob McNair

We are sure you have seen an ad from the 50ies at one point or another. The ones featuring TV, Radio or really any other product that was popular in the 50ies. But what do you think of vintage ads that feature social networks and programs like Skype? 60 years from now is that how we will look at all the things we love so much today?

MaxiMidia is a Brazilian company that focuses on modernizing the communications industry. They focused on developing “Vintage”, a print advertising campaign, introducing professionals to new opportunities associated with social networking. The ads are designed in the 1950s style, featuring Skype, Twitter, Facebook and YouTube. What do you think? Are these technologies already such a big part of our lives that we consider them “old hat”?
