Overhauled profile pages – Facebook’s new look and feel.

By Liam Foy

Facebook’s new profile pages debuted today. What a big deal considering that profiles are Facebook’s core.

Facebook’s new profile pages offer a more visual experience. Not to mention that the design is now streamlined making it easier to find information people actually care about (birthday, hometown, employer, etc.). You’ll notice that the most crucial information about people can now be found underneath people’s names, alongside with a handful of photos they were tagged in. Not to worry, however, privacy settings haven’t changed. Alongside the streamlined look and bigger emphasis on people’s basic information, the new design brings a much cleaner look, a new look of the “featured friends” feature as well as improved photos and friend pages.

As you can see from the picture above, tabs as we know them are now being replaced with the options to post links, messages and photos. Next to the message button on the top right, the POKE button is now more prominent.

Facebook has undergone many changes lately, the new design of its profile pages being one of the biggest. Have you tried the new Facebook yet? If not, get it here and let us know what you think. Do you like it or wish you could have the old Facebook back?
