Twitter update Tweetdeck
Yesterday, Twitter release a new version of TweetDeck. Yeah some of you may be sceptical as the last update didn’t go down to well with anybody really. We assure you that this update has some great new features:
- List Management – you can now create, edit, and delete lists directly in the app. There is even a dedicated ‘Lists’ button on the toolbar, convenient, eh?
- Activity and Interactions – A new Interactions column, available under the Add Column button, is like an enhanced Mentions column. It shows not only all of your mentions, but also alerts when you have been followed, added to a list, retweeted or favorited
- Media Previews – You will now see a small preview of images and videos under the related Tweet
- RT & Edit – Twitter have replaced “Quote” with “Edit & RT,” which lets you edit the Tweet before sending
Do you like any of the new features? Or do you wish Twitter went back to the old version?

OMGPOP bought by Zynga
Social gaming sensation ‘Draw Something’, created by OMGPOP, was bought this week for over $200 million by Zynga 7 weeks after it was first released for iOS and Android. Draw Something was downloaded 35m times, and on the day the acquisition was announced (21 March) it had 13.3m daily active users, 4.8m more than Zynga’s most popular social game Words With Friends. The game is a definite craze, but OMGPOP has worked hard to become an overnight success. The company was founded in 2009, and released 35 social games before Draw Something.
