This might just be the most creative use of Twitter yet.
From time to time on Twitter, we see some creative imagery not just in language, but in images, mostly of the ASCII variety. Smart Car Argentina takes it up a notch with its movie that incorporates a stop-motion animation that depicts the happy go-lucky jaunt of its signature ride in a typical day through the city, using its Twitter page as the vehicle.
The effect of this is similar to flip books that we used to play with which told a short story through a sequence of slightly adjusted photos one after the other. Smart Car Argentina has decided to employ the concept to take you on a little ride through a town which has houses, a church, trees and even traffic in what the company is calling its first “Twitter Commercial”. The idea behind the stop-motion video is simple yet so so effective. It is campaings like this which make us realise just how powerful a tool something like Twitter can be for businesses.
