After being named the top brand for creative work by Facebook earlier this week, Oreo have joined the ranks of companies designing their own apps with a clever ‘Catch the Cookie’ app.
Using the basis of popular games such as Pac-Man, Catch the Cookie uses augmented reality to superimpose a glass of milk onto your surroundings. The aim of the game is to catch Oeros in the glass when they are dropped across the screen by the Oreo airship. The app uses a camera function to create a mash up of the real world and virtual world so your surroundings are always part of the game. Although a great concept… it’s a difficult game! The app is available through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
