myclever™ Agency won the Best Use of Social Media award at the 2015 Northern Digital Awards.
Our work with VisitEngland, England’s Hall Of Fame, leveraged user generated content as part of a dual-phase campaign that invited the public to use social media to upload photos and stories in order to nominate then vote for their “good and great” local attractions and features.
Building on the national pride that followed the London 2012 Olympic Games, we designed a bespoke microsite that hosts images and stories – an evergreen asset for VisitEngland – where people could share and vote for their favourite entries.
The campaign was later transformed into an exhibit on London’s South Bank, attracting thousands of visitors and national media coverage. As well as receiving thousands of entries, VisitEngland’s Twitter and Facebook following increased by 10% each.
