Curvy Kate is a lingerie, nightwear and swimwear brand based in Harrow, UK. Their USP is catering to smaller-back, larger-bust women. As a start-up in 2009, they had no social media presence and wanted to change that.
myclever built brand awareness by utilising platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Google+, Tumblr and YouTube, managing all of these channels on behalf of the brand. It was our intent to drive awareness of the Curvy Kate story, and connect with their customers.
Engaging content is critical to our work with Curvy Kate; we use it to build their online community and create conversations/advocacy within the existing fan base. Highly interactive social media campaigns and brand monitoring has all been key to our success with Curvy Kate. "Star In A Bra" is now a global annual campaign.
The result? Going from 0 to 65,000 Facebook fans in four years, Curvy Kate is the most liked UK lingerie brand on Facebook. They are now one of the top 5 UK lingerie brands on Twitter, with 20,000 followers. They have collected 30,000 email addresses through campaigns, and saw a 6215% growth on Facebook over the past 18 months.
